FIGHTERS for teens and tweens meets most weeks on Wednesdays at 4:15 in the library event room. The first week of the month we do a Community Service Project, then Arts and Crafts the following week, and Games & Snacks Night (from 4 – 6 p.m.) the next. The fourth week we usually meet at The Keyhole (across from the high school) for The Lone Wolves Book Club. Free snacks and drinks are always served! Join us for an opportunity to help shape this year’s teen programming, create displays, play games, and eat with your fellow middle and high school students. See our Events page for what’s coming up soon! Want more photos & videos? Check out Miss Val’s Instagram or YouTube Playlist, take a look at new books for teens on our shelves, and find awesome fun on our Pinterest Board. FIGHTERS stands for Familiar Inviting Group Helping Those Entities Recover from School. The name was created by a local teen and voted for by our group.
The USD 234 bus director and school board have generously offered us the chance to use their bus service as transportation to our meetings during the school year. To arrange for a weekly afterschool ride, call the bus director, Joe Allen, at 620-223-0800.
Are you interested in volunteering to help with the teen program? Want to bring snacks or board games to a game night? Would you like to lead a book discussion?
