The primary mission of the Fort Scott Public Library is to serve the informational and recreational needs of the Fort Scott community. It is also the mission of the Fort Scott Public Library to provide or support those services which develop cultural appreciation, increase personal knowledge and encourage educational excellence in today’s society, benefiting both the individual and the community at large.  (adopted by FSPL Board 11/18/86)
